Our museum shop is located in the main building at Storagatan 1 in Mariehamn. The shop sells items with a clear connection to the museum’s collections or exhibitions. The items we sell are carefully selected and must be unique, locally produced and take the environment and sustainable consumption into consideration. The goal is to build up a shop that showcases local craftspeople and promotes creative sources of livelihood. Items sold at the museum shop must contribute to the preservation of the cultural heritage and raise interest in the collections.
The museum shop sells, among other things, books, souvenirs, gifts and postcards as well as products from numerous Ålander craftspeople. We also sell season cards, which give you free admission to the Cultural History Museum of Åland and Åland Islands Art Museum. In the summer, the season card also includes free admission to other attractions in Åland, such as the Kastelholm Castle, Vita Björn Prison Museum and Åland School Museum.
If you need to take a little break and want to enjoy a hot beverage, juice, biscuits or snacks, our coffee nook is the perfect spot. We always offer our season card holders a complimentary coffee or tea on each visit.
