Åland School Museum
In 1888, teacher Viktor Jansson of Vårdö erected the building that houses the Åland School Museum today. Jansson taught and lived here until his death in 1895. The old schoolhouse has now been painstakingly restored to its original 1900s glory. Its collection contains items from all over Åland, but a number of the articles are actually from the old school itself. The teacher’s residence is partially furnished with articles that belonged to Viktor Jansson and his family.
